Pigeon Forge, Tenn. – The highly anticipated SmartBank is now open for business at its Pigeon Forge location in the Teaster Crossing Complex.

“Our entire team of bankers is excited to be open now and able to serve our clients,” said Bill Carroll, SmartBank Chairman of the Board & Director of Business Development. “We can now show them a dynamic new banking environment. We hope the community finds our experienced staff and innovative culture refreshing.”

The bank was organized entirely by local businessmen. In addition to Carroll, the list includes directors Vic Barrett, Billy Carroll, Ted Miller, David Ogle, Keith Whaley, and Geoff Wolpert, as well as veteran bankers, Greg Davis – Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer, Cathy Reed – Senior Vice President & Commercial Lending Officer, and Marc Robertson – First Vice President & Small Business/Consumer Lending Officer.

“There are things about our people and our branch that distinguish us from other banks in this area, and we’re proud to be building exceptional value for our clients, associates, community, and shareholders,” said Carroll. “And now that Pigeon Forge is up and running, we’re looking toward our plans to expand.”

The bank’s Sevierville office, located at 1011 Parkway, at the intersection with South Boulevard, is currently under construction and scheduled to open in April of this year.
