KNOXVILLE, TN (July 13, 2008) – Bill Carroll, Chairman of the Board for SmartBank, has announced the Bank’s expansion into Knoxville. “Expanding into this market has been part of SmartBank’s business plan since inception and we feel the timing is right for a new forward-thinking community bank in Knoxville,” said Chairman Carroll.
SmartBank’s office is located at 7827 Montvue Center Way, across from West Town Mall. The bank currently has four offices; three in Sevier County and one in Knoxville. Joining the SmartBank team as First Vice President, Knoxville Area Executive is Kenny Graves. Graves has accumulated more than 20 years of diverse banking experience most recently with SunTrust Bank’s Private Wealth Management Division. He is a Certified Financial Planner and holds FINRA series 7 and series 66 securities licenses. He graduated from the University of Tennessee and furthered his education with a Master’s Degree from Tusculum College and will serve the Bank in its Knoxville Office specializing in Private Banking, Wealth Management and Investments.
