Destin, FL. – May 3, 2013 – SmartBank President & CEO, Billy Carroll has announced the following leadership and officer positions.

James W. “Woody” Davis has been named Senior Vice President for SmartBank and manages special projects. Woody has held various leadership positions during his 33 years in the banking industry. He joined GulfSouth Private Bank in September 2012 as Compliance Officer. Woody graduated from Birmingham Southern College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and received a degree in Bank Operations from the School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin.

Kim Davis has been named Branch Administrator for SmartBank’s Destin, Fort Walton, Pensacola and Santa Rosa offices. Kim joined GulfSouth Private Bank as Operations Manager in May 2009 and prior to that worked at SunTrust Bank as a Financial Service Representative. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/ Marketing from Troy University.

Bethany White has been named Credit Administration Officer of SmartBank. Bethany began her career in banking in 2006 as a Private Banking Administrator. She joined GulfSouth Private Bank in November 2007. Bethany received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Florida State University, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the International Honors Society. She is involved in the Destin and Walton County Chamber of Commerce.

Meloney Howell has been named Loan Officer for SmartBank’s Destin Branch. Meloney joined GulfSouth Private Bank in 2005 and has worked in various financial institutions since 1997. She attended Okaloosa Walton Community College and is a graduate of Walton County Leadership Program. Meloney enjoys being involved in the American Cancer Society, Destin Chamber, Walton County Chamber and United Way Foundation.

Jenny MacDonald has been named Loan Officer for SmartBank’s Destin office. Jenny began her banking career in 1998 as a construction loan administrator and joined GulfSouth Private Bank in August 2007. She attended The University of Memphis and has completed the lending session at the Alabama Bankers Bank Advanced Regulatory Compliance Institute. Jenny is involved in the Destin Chamber of Commerce and the Children’s Advocacy Center of Niceville, FL.
