Nickelsen joins SmartBank with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, including retail management, commercial lending, credit analysis and wealth management. He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He currently serves as a board member for the West Florida Home Builders Association, as well as serving as a board member and treasurer for the Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council. In addition, he is actively involved with the Fiesta of Five Flags Board of Governors, and is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Pensacola. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Lisa, and two sons, Ashton and Brennan.
