
Brian Groeschell
Tuscaloosa, Ala. – SmartBank recently announced that Brian Groeschell has been promoted to Area Executive for Tuscaloosa and Southwest Alabama. He will manage the bank’s presence in Tuscaloosa, Washington and Clark Counties.
Groeschell has been serving as Senior Vice President, Tuscaloosa and Southwest Alabama Market Executive for SmartBank. He has more than 18 years of experience in the banking and financial industry, leading the bank’s commercial and consumer lending division in Tuscaloosa and Southwest Alabama. He also works with the retail and investment divisions of the bank.

Groeschell is a 2001 graduate of the University of Alabama, where he earned a degree in commerce & business administration. He has been an active member of the community, serving as a past president of Big Brothers Big Sisters, of which he is still actively involved. He is involved with numerous organizations including West Alabama’s Chamber of Commerce, SmartBank’s Adopt-A-School program, Junior Achievement, American Heart Association and the United Way. Groeschell is also an active member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
