Ron Gorczynski is the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for SmartBank. Ron plays a key role in overseeing budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and provides valuable input on the strategic vision of the bank. Prior to joining SmartBank, Ron served as the Chief Accounting Officer for the Bank of North Carolina in High Point, North Carolina. While serving in this position, he had extensive involvement with corporate responsibilities, including investor relations and corporate governance. Ron also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Square 1 Bank in Durham, North Carolina. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business and Public Management from the State University of New York, College of Technology at Utica/Rome in 1989. In addition, he received his Certificate in General Accounting from Mount Saint Mary College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
