KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – May 29, 2012 – SmartBank announced that Tanner Harris has joined the organization as First Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer.

Most recently, Harris served as a Vice President/Business Services Officer III with BB&T where he received the honor of Sterling Performer in the 4th quarter of 2006. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Harris will operate out of SmartBank’s Knoxville corporate office where he will be responsible for developing and managing a variety of commercial relationships. He has served the community in many roles both as a volunteer and as a board member. A few of the organizations and boards he has served include the United Way Loaned Executive Program, Knoxville Chamber Partnership, Introduction Knoxville and East Tennessee Community Design Center. He resides in Knoxville with his wife, Abigail.
